Description:
24” x 30” wide, (cutting propagated). This Galaxy hybrid selection is renowned for its large clusters of bright red flowers. Each individual flower in the cluster also has a distinctive yellow eye. As is the case with all Yarrows, the flowers fade as they age; “Paprika” fades from red to pink. Planting in afternoon shade will slow the fading a bit. Adding to its good looks is the fern-like deep green foliage. “Paprika” is everblooming with regular deadheading and is best used in the perennial border where it enjoys enriched soil and regular watering. Geese Family
April 23, 2008.
Two geese seen walking through the pasture towards the pond.
Apparently they brought with them their babie. Six of them! That explained the walking (instead of flying). Since then they became permanent residents of the bass pond.

In the pot: Parrot's Beak (or Coral Gem, Pelican's Beak, Lotus berthelotii).
Start from the post clockwise: Oriental lily, lantana, geranium, lobelia, tropical hibiscus, sedum Autumn Joy and sedum white flower, gnome, fiber optic grass, chrysanthemum.
Canna tropicana, geranium, seedling of cinnamon sunflower, mums from last year.
Aloe and iceplant. Above aloe, yellow gazania dug from California.
Nasturtium, lobelia, creme salvia, yucca, paprika yarrow.
