Got Ducks

After sitting duck for several mornings in his birthday duck blind, finally Hal got his first 3 wild ducks (mallards) this wet and cold morning. Homemade orange marmalade, the by-product of Thanksgiving fruit salad, have been prepared for specially for duck a l'orange.

The Millet Field

Millet grains starts to fatten up.
A feeder in the middle of the field.
A deer blind at the corner.
Four deer were spotted eating millet at the edge of the field
from the deer blind two nights before.
The deer keep the millet low around the edges.
